tristam sat on a big gigantic towel on the sandy beach. the water was crystal clear and tiny waves leaped up the shore. he watched a blonde intently. she was shoveling sand into a bright red bucket. a smile was playing on his lips as he watched his three year old daughter shovel in as much sand as she possibly could. daddy, can we take the beach home? she would ask him. and of course, looking into her baby blues, he couldn't say no. he could never say no to her. back when her mother was around, things were different. though little raelynne had him wrapped around her tiny fingers then, he had his girlfriend to fall back on when he had work. but it just wasn't the case now. his parents or antares watched her. he couldn't afford daycare, though it killed him to see her not around other children. but just when he thought things were going good with everything, her mother left him and raelynne. no note no nothing. she just vanished into thin air and neither one of the has seen her since. now he almost preferred her not to come back. him and rae had gotten used to not having her around and he wasn't sure if he could share her with anyone else.
he watched her as she dumped the damp sand out to make a tower. in about two seconds it would crumble to the ground due her stepping on it and giggling. she thought it was the funniest thing to do. and he was not going to deny her the simple pleasures of life when he already denied her so much more he couldn't afford. her hat blocked most of the sun off her face and shoulders, but he would still have to reapply the sun block in just a few moments. tristam didn't have time for anything else but her and work. he hadn't even tried one since her mother left. he only had time for one girl, and that girl was now proceeding to bury his foot with sand. he pulled his flip flop out from under the mound of sand, brushing it off and laying it at the corner of the towel he was sitting at. he pulled her close when he could get an arm around her. alright. lets reapply your sunscreen first baby girl. she protested, but very minimal because she knew her father meant business. he got the lotion and applied to her skin fairly as not to let her get any sun. he let her go after he was done, placing the bottle back in her bag.
tristam wasn’t paying any attention to anyone else that was on the beach unless they got too close for his comfort with raelynne. he was a very protective father. he had to be since he was all she had. he was so lucky that he had his parents, because he didn’t know how much he could have gotten done with a tiny baby girl. his friends thought his life was over, especially antares, whom slept with anyone who had a vagina pretty much. But she was his life now, and there was no going back. he watched his daughter playing in the sand and tried to remember when he did the same. if it weren’t for her, he probably would have never done something like that. daddy, I’m thirsty. she said to him. he smiled. alright lets get you some juice. he stood up, getting ready to hand her her cup of juice when he heard a voice from behind say his name. it was softly spoken, and he almost didn’t hear it. but the voice could not be mistake. a small smile played on his lips, as he turned to see her. hi.

[/div] tearing love apart, ophelia's job as a wedding planner had its ups and downs. she loved seeing the glowing brides and the happy grooms, but one thing she did hate - being a wedding planner and single. it just wasn't fun. you were constantly around weddings, seeing all the happy couples and you stood there, the eighth wheel; the only one who is single and has to live out the reception alone with merely just a friend to talk to. more often then not lately, she was beginning to regret attending the weddings. but they were her friends, and she wasnt going to ditch their big day just because she felt like she was a third wheel sometimes. here recently, she had started staying with a friend of hers she had met at a wedding; tristam. he had the cutest little girl - raelynne - and she absolutely loved her to death. when she was at home, she spent most of her time occupying the blue eyed three year old little girl, making sure daddy got a chance to take a break and relax. she didn't mind it, really. she loved playing with the little girl. at one point, she had even asked her if she liked her dad. did she? yeah. she did. as a friend and maybe as a little more. but she wasn't sure what she wanted. she had decently come from a nasty divorce, and getting back into the dating scene wasnt exactly the first plan she had. but they had already kissed. and she was already into him more than she knew she should be. she was leaving to go back to texas soon, and she didnt know how long it would be before she was back in hawaii. weeks? months? she didn't know. but she knew no man was going to wait that long for her. especially a man as attractive as him.
she decided to hit the beach, something she hadn't done the entire time she was here. she wasn't exactly the type of person you would call "confident", but she had enough self confidence that she was willing to go to the beach and not really worry about what people think. she walked on the sand, looking down at her feet. she hadn't been to the beach in forever. she had been so slammed back, that when the wedding got pushed back and she had to stay a little bit longer, she decided that going to the beach was a thing to add to her "to do" list. she applied a little bit of sunscreen over her body, since she wasn't exactly what you would call "tan". she looked up and glanced around, looking for people she might know. then she stopped when she saw a all-too-familiar face. a smile crept across her lips and she walked over. hey she said softly, the butterflies in her stomach fluttering. when he turned to her and smiled, she smiled just a little bit more, moving to sit beside him. hi to you too, raelynne. she said, smiling softly. she pulled her knees to her chest a little, watching raelynne play. she could feel a tiny bit of awkwardness between her and tristam. it was like this a lot, actually. and she wasn't sure how to make it go away.
words: idek. outfit: bathing suit. notes: IM SO SORRY, IT SUCKS.

three years. that was how long tristam had been with someone. and it seemed fine because he had raelynne to worry about. nothing seemed more important to him than that little girls happiness. but here recently, things had started to change a little. his best friend, antares, had introduced him to this girl, ophelia, at a wedding and now they were friends. she was actually staying with him while she was here. he had been a little straight forward with that, which he normally wasn't. but she needed a place to stay since her stay was lengthen and he offered. antares would be proud, but he's also wonder why he hadn't slept with her yet. tristam wasn't that way. he was shy around woman because of the way he had gotten treated by rae's mother. now he was very unsure of himself when he was around girls, any type too. it could be a friend and he would be awkward. bu they seemed to think he was cute and tried to get him to open up. the ones that knew him better just worked around it, while the other blew him off. he didn't mind that too much because he always had rae that loved him and did she love him. she was probably the biggest daddy's girl in the world, but that was also because she didn't have a mother figure.
a smile played on his lips as she greeted him too. her appearance was surprising and welcome. he liked being around her, even though it was severally awkward around them. and raelynne was in love with her. hopefully she didn't just up and leave because tristam didn't want raelynne to get hurt like he had done when her mother had left. he didn't raelynne to have to loose someone close. raelynne's smile brighten at the sound of lia's voice and ran over to her, hugging her. she loved that girl and it was going to probably kill her when lia left and never came back. hey lia. raelynne spoke as she released her. wanna play bury daddy? whoa whoa. he said. no no, no bury daddy. how about you make a sand castle we all can do that. he smiled at lia, trying to get her to go along with what he said. he could deal without sand all over his body and in his swimming shorts.
