A sigh escaped his lips as he trudged through the warm sand. he wasn't sure where exactly he was walking, but he knew the beach well enough to find his way back. they had talked last night about her coming to visit, but tyler had no idea if that would actually happen. she seemed pretty busy- and dedicated- at work. he pulled his cell phone out of his pocket and checked again for any text or missed call. he was begining to feel desperate. But after three years of not seeing her...the thought made him want to call and book a flight for her. he just needed to see her again to see what these feelings were. just nostalgia, or were they the real deal?
He squinted to a figure standing about thirty feet away. he couldn't make the person out due to the sun, but...no, his eyes were playing tricks on him. it was just because she was on his mind. right? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - LITTLE DARLING, I FEEL THAT ICE IS SLOWLY MELTING little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - tagged; genevive lyrics; here comes the sun by the beatles listening to; two more lonely people by miley cyrus (*hangs head in shame*) word count; ughh idk credit; to brooke from caution

things had ended between her and tyler. a long time ago. but yet, there always seemed to be this space between them when they talked. like they both were avoiding something that neither one of them wanted to bring up. she had promised that she would see tyler soon. and she was keeping that promise, she just didn't know how to handle it. how do you tell the person who you haven't seen in three years that you're here and that you wanted to see exactly how they felt about you? you didn't. so she had decided she would just call him and tell him that she was here. see how it went from there. when it came to tyler, things seemed to be a little stressed. there were still emotions attached to their relationship, whether they both liked it or not. but the simple fact remained. he chose his family over her. and she respected that. so she left, unable to look at his face another minute. she had been lucky. she got by with phone calls and im's. no personal contact what-so-ever. she was sure that he followed her when he could. the ads and publicity. it wasn't hard to find out what she was doing at any given time. just goggle her name.
deep in thought, she was unaware that he, the very person she was thinking about, was walking straight to her. she was looking out at the ocean. just thinking. maybe one day she'd get over him completely, but this was not that day, and tomorrow didn't seem too great either.

But then as the reality of the situation sunk in, he was filled with questions.
Why had she not told him she was coming into town? he had spent a majority of their conversation practically begging her to visit...and she didn't even tell him she was coming into town. thinking back on their conversation, he just felt embarassed and dumb. there he was missing her and hoping to see her-- she probably thought he was desperate. but then again, he was desperate. desperate to see her. after three long years, she was a short walk away. he had dreamed about this moment. and yet, it was all wrong.
Taking the necessary steps forward, he reached out...then stopped for two reasons. the first- they weren't dating anymore. what did this situation call for? a hug? a tentative tap on the shoulder? it all sounded stupid. second- he was too pissed off. he shook his head and finally spoke the words he'd been wondering all along, "what are you doing here?" he didn't mean for it to come out so cold-- he was glad to see her-- but he also couldn't help feeling a little stupid. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - LITTLE DARLING, I FEEL THAT ICE IS SLOWLY MELTING little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - tagged; genevive lyrics; here comes the sun by the beatles listening to; heaven by the fire word count; ughh idk credit; to brooke from caution

she was startled as she was interrupted from her thoughts by a very familiar voice. turning around, she almost died. standing there was the reasoning behind the visit to hawaii, the reasoning behind everything. there stood tyler daniels. and he looked even more amazing than he did the last time she seen him. she hadn't expected him to be at the beach this early. another thing she hadn't expected was his tone of voice. ty? hi. she sounded surprised. genevine wasn't sure how to react to his question nor the tone. she had never heard him talk like to her. i-i came to see you. was all she managed to say. she was sure she had plenty more to tell him but at the moment she was speechless.

She sounded nervous, but he couldn't blame her with the rude attitude he was giving her. but he was hurt. he stuck his hands in his pockets and raised an eyebrow. "well why didn't you tell me when we were talking? god, instead of letting me ramble on like an idiot." he grimaced and then shook his head. "or were you in town for something else and just planning on not telling me? i know we broke up, but i figured we could at least be friends."
He was being much harsher than he deserved, but suddenly he couldn't stop emotions from tumbling. anger that she had left so fast he couldn't say goodbye. hurt that she never came to visit. guilt that it was porbably because of him...and of course, the attraction that he had and would always feel for his first love. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - LITTLE DARLING, I FEEL THAT ICE IS SLOWLY MELTING little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - tagged; genevive lyrics; here comes the sun by the beatles listening to; untouchable by taylor swift word count; ughh idk credit; to brooke from caution

she adverted her eyes from his face in order to stop herself from getting too overemotional. it was suppose to be a surprise. she spoke only in a whisper. not knowing if she was talking to herself or him. genevive fidgeted uncomfortably. how was she going to talk to him when he was so upset with her. maybe she should play it off like she wasn't going to tell him she was back in hawaii. maybe then they both could just move on. but it wasn't that easy. and looking at him upset made it all the more harder. she finally looked up at him. ty, we are friend. i was going to tell you. today. i was going to come over to your house. if he didn't understand that, then there was no hope.
she rummaged through her mind, trying to figure out what she had done wrong. what had happened three years ago to make things so complicated between them. this maybe would have been easier to let him go if she knew that he was happy with someone. but hadn't he told her that he wasn't with anyone? she had tried not to get her hopes up, tried not to wonder why he was single. tried not to think it was because of her, because he still wanted to be with her. standing in front of him now, she knew that none of that was the case. he was much better off without her,
