notes.let the fun begin He hadn't gotten a girl all day, well he wasn't in a public place to spot one so that might have been the problem. But it still made him annoyed that he hadn't been able to enjoy the company of a beautiful lady. Though his sense of "enjoy" meant rolling around in his king sized bed, and ruffling up the sheets. He had sat through some of the most boring conversations just to get to that point. It bothered him that he actually put himself through the torturing wait. But at least he could have all of the shallowest chat that he could hope for. The girls he slept with were supposed to be inspiration for his writings, but just as his ideas had been so far, the inspiration was coming in flat. Not that the women weren't performing well, just that they lacked an interesting bone in their bodies. But at least they all looked hot and willing.
Dakota paced into his loft from the balcony. Blue eyes shot to the clock on his dresser and he looked down at himself. Tonight there was a small party at one of the local clubs, he was defiantly going, the man was still hunting for his next prize. He walked out the door and headed towards the garage. It was warm out, so there was no need for a jacket. His solid white button up and black vest with a loose red tie and black pants worked well. Unlocking the doors to the navy Lotus Elise parked by the farthest wall, Kody slid into the drivers side and eased on the gas. The party wasn't far, but a man could always ride in style.
He might not have been showing up with anyone but that didn't mean he was going to leave alone. He had no plan of that. He slowed the car near the entrance and stepped out, tossing the keys to a young man waiting by his post. "Take her around the block for a good run, but I do expect her back in that same way I left her." The younger man smiled in disbelief and nodded as he moved towards the car. Kody didn't mind anyone else driving his car, in fact it was the only girl, in his mind, that he has never left out to dry. He loved that blue devil. Grinning to himself, he adjusted the lapels of his vest and coolly walked straight at the door. He was fairly well known, so he had easy access and that meant no stopping at the door. But he did catch the eye of a blonde that was waiting in line behind a red rope. Winking, he turned toward the guard and motioned at the blonde. "That darlin' is with me." She came around the rope and he insistently placed his arm low around her hips.
But once inside, It wasn't long before he dump that chick and had a lovely brunette in his sights. Dakota rolled up his white sleeves near his elbows and buttoned his vest to get a looser look as he walked up behind her. "I never imagined meeting a goddess, such as ya-self here." He let a white toothed half grin flash at her.

if i leave my heart with you tonight promise me that you're gonna treat it right. | parties were normal for genevive. she was a supermodel and she had to go through every mindless party and after party that was good for her career. and she didn't miss many. her publicist thought it was important for her to get her face out and that meant partying with the a-listers. she was to socialize with them, and for the most part, it had worked. that's how she got endorsers and famous people in photos with her. her name mentioned on page six, posing next to a celebrity or fellow supermodel. she was the it person to look for fashion from, which she didn't see it but she tired to live up to her name. but it wasn't easy. designers sent her lots of free clothes to wear about and she loved getting clothes, who didn't? at the moment she was wearing a upper-thigh length cocktail dress made from some famous designer. she figured tonight was a freebie and she could wear something a bit short than the practical ball gowns at some of these famous parties. she was more comfortable in this and it already was paying off. a bunch of people had already introduced themselves to her, put their arms around her shoulder, bought her drinks. she smiled, nodded and sipped a little on her drink and when they were looking she poured in another glass. if she drunk all the drinks she had gotten tonight, she would have been seriously drunk by now.
she wandered around the club, noticing just how small and intimate things were. no wonder she was being hit on by ever single girl that she saw. there were a lack of pretty girls around. she sighed, walking over to the bar to grab a water. all this sipping on drinks and testosterone was making her dehydrated. she drunk her water fast, faster than she expected and got another one from the bartender that seemed not to mind serving water to a pretty little girl like her. sometimes, her looked got exactly what she wanted, and other times not so much. she got soo much attention sometimes she wasn't free to do what she wanted to do. other times, if she wanted something all she had to do was flash a pretty smile and that was the end of it. for anyone that knew her, she was the sweetest girl they had ever met. which was a weird combination to be sweet and a supermodel. most of the time they were real bitches.
she finally finished her water, placing the second glass on the bar and smiled, thanking the bartender. but before she turned around she heard a smooth voice wash over her. she dared not to look. another guy. she smiled and turned around to meet him. whoa. this one was a bit different. younger, cuter. she could give up some of her time for him. but she had a feeling by the line and the grin he wanted something more than talk. i've been trying to figure that one out all night. she breathed.

notes.let the fun begin When she didn't turn around the second after his word left him, he took the time to give her a quick look over. Though, honestly, his eyes were mainly glues to her ass. When she looked at him, Dakota trailed his eyes slowly up her body and looked her in the eyes. The eat-your-heart-out half grin was still plastered to his face as she spoke. So far, she seemed to be the best inlet for inspiration in weeks, he would have to get her back to his place to finish up what he usually started. "Your a gal with brains, I'm sure it won't take ya too long." His southern roots leaking up through his words as he took a step closer and leaned next to her, his elbow on the bar.
Kody had noticed her since he arrived, which was why he decided to ditch the blonde bomb-shell he had let slip in with him. He wasn't about to concern himself with her again, she had probably found an older man to rub up against on the small and crowded dance floor. But the brunette he was now with was going to be the focus of his attention. He had watched her for a bit before actually walking over to her. Several men had greeted her and bought her drinks that she only took short sips from, but she had brushed all those guys off. Maybe, just maybe, Dakota, the young and dashing author would have to show them how flirting and charming is really done. He had lots of experience with women, they could learn a thing or two from him. And as he looked at the girl, he noticed a few guys over her shoulder giving him some looks. They had and lost their chance.
"Dakota Wallace, ma'am." He looked at the bartender and ordered a water, then let his eyes flick back at her. "I would say it's a pleasure to meet you darlin' but believe me, it's more then that." The water was slid over to him and he raised it to his lips. Somewhere along the line he had learned to not buy women drinks, it gave them the wrong impression of a man just wanting to get them drunk. Even if that is a goal for the night, might as well keep to acting like a respectable man. though purchasing a glass for a lady was a nice thing, but it wasn't too big of a deal. Because sometimes they just weren't thirsty. "So did ya get let in by the bouncer because no man could resist ya right now, or do ya have a fell-known, pretty face for something?"
IF he had to bet, he would be caught at a lose for which side would win. With her cocktail dress that stopped at the upper part of her thigh, and he knew exactly where it stopped, he wouldn't be surprised that she was just let into the club for the way she looked tonight. Certainly other people were noticing her and not just him. But she could also be someone famous because she had the nice figure to make it in the modeling world, or acting, he still wasn't sure, But he smiled lightly at her as he awaited her reply, taking another sip of the clear liquid in his cup.

if i leave my heart with you tonight promise me that you're gonna treat it right. | genevive had plenty of guys surrounding her, it was her career. most of them she just brushed off, but was still kind to them because of how she was. she wasn't about to let them take advantage of her either. she knew how to stand her ground and firmly tell them no. she knew what he was doing. checking her out, and she really didn't mind it, that was the reason why she wore the dress in the first place, so she'd get noticed. so she gave him time to do so, trying no to look annoyed or even flattered. when he spoke to her, she knew that he wasn't from hawaii or new york, which was were she was originally from. somewhere in the southern states perhaps. she smiled at his comment. he was more right than she would let on. she was probably the brightest model that she knew. she had went to college for a little bit until she took some time off because the modeling thing took up most of her time. plus she had plenty of time to go to school but not so much in being a model. she didn't even move away from him when he stepped closer. maybe the dress she was wearing made her daring tonight, or maybe she really was a little tipsy from all those drinks. she'd never know.
she wasn't paying attention to any other guys at the moment, only the one that seemed to think that he was gods gift to women. and maybe he was, but she wouldn't know because she wasn't that type of girl. in fact, she was still a virgin. she had never slept with a guy and she planned on saving herself until she met the right person and they got married. she had always dreamed about her wedding day ever since she was little. and it was very special to her to wait until then to give her virginity up. not that she didn't have plenty of chances to loose it. she had a boyfriend before she had left, of three years. they could have done it, but they didn't. and on the road, as a model, guys threw themselves at her all the time, just like this guy was doing at the moment. as he introduced himself, she smiled. he ordered a water too. maybe she had pegged him wrong. maybe it would be alright to flirt with this one, after all he was a lot better looking than the rest of the guys in the bar. genvive mccarthy. she spoke with a small smile. if he didn't know her by name, it was alright, but she was sure he had seen her in the victoria secret shows. he did look like the guy that watched them. she almost giggled at his line. nope, he definitely wanted something more than just talk. but maybe it wouldn't hurt, it wasn't like she'd be going home with him anyways, or seeing him any more than just this party. what the hell, you only live once right?
she watched him for a moment, wondering what exactly he was thinking. well she could guess. she shivered slightly at the thought. she smiled at him, he was cute. i'm a model. i don't ever have to wait in line, ever. plus the dress didn't hurt either. she didn't say it to sound cocky, but it was the truth. and judging by the way he was looking at her, he liked the dress rather well too. she too ordered another water, watching him, then turning to look at the other people in the club. some were staring at them, others were dancing up onto this blonde. it made her cringe to think that girls were passed off like objects. but then again, being a model made you that way, if you liked it or not. people worshiped your body and craved to have sex with you. but she hadn't met anyone yet that would make her break her vow. genevive thanked the bartender, and he gave her a little wink. she smiled at him, sipping on her glass. this was really turning out to be an eventful night already, just imagine what could come next.

notes.let the fun begin He raised his eyebrows for a moment when she said her name. I fit her well, he had described her a goddess when he first walked over and the regal and graceful name actually fit. But now that he placed her face with her name, something clicked. She looked familiar, but he had seen a of girls in magazines and commercials that he thought would be great to meet. So where exactly she belonged, Kody couldn't pin pointed it.
Unlike most men that tired to get a girl just for the pleasure of a great night with her, he didn't have the grossed out and perverted mind. People with idea of completely dominating a women in bed and doing quite weird and intimate things disgusted him as much as it would the next person. And at least he had more respect for women then that. While he talked to a girl, he was fully focused on her and how to get her to submit to him and willingly leave with him. Setting his cup down on the edge of the bar, Dakota looked slightly down at her, he was taller after all. A smug smile hit his lips as she said she was a model. But the mention of her dress drew his eyes to it and his happily ran his sky blue eyed gaze over the material with a low chuckle. Wearing the dress didn't hurt in the least.
Reluctantly he took his eyes from her form and looked back into her eyes. Her big, makeup emphasized brown eyes; warm one too. So, Genevine was a sweet and kind girl, it made him feel a little bad that he was going to use her, but not enough to dissuade him. "Of course yar a model, but with the looks ya got, ya could get a movie deal easy." A sip of water and he spoke again, "So, do ya work for a single magazine or are ya a multiple face kinda gal?" Kody had slept around with a handful of models to get a good grasp of the type, but she seemed different. Had more of the real girl nature about her instead of conforming to the views of what others wanted. And maybe that was the reason she seemed so inspiring to him.
When ever his question were turned on him, the what do you do for a living ones, he never lied about his work. He was a proud author. Most people, mostly magazine owners and models, thought he was a male model. He kind of saw that in him, he knew he had better features then some guys, but he wasn't a guy that wanted to many pictures of himself everywhere. He liked to be a bit more mysterious then that. But when ever he was called a model he took it as a complement.

if i leave my heart with you tonight promise me that you're gonna treat it right. | genevive was used to having guys all over her. either her picture plastered in their room or if they were lucky enough, in person. she had actually been in a celebrities house and seen a large scale picture of herself on the wall. it was a bit creepy and also very flattering. but needless to say, nothing happened because she's not that kind of girl. she liked to head things off before they got that bad, but sometimes, you should tell where i was going until it was too late.she had met the most charming men, sweet and nice, and friendly. oh yes, very friendly. she had to say no to more than one guy in her lifetime so it didn't phase her as much as it use to. she thought, at first, it was her fault that they were in that predicament. but it wasn't, she just blamed herself because that was the type of person she is.some where really good at their game and genevive couldn't be too careful nowadays.
she had mentioned her dress for the reason he did what he did when she mentioned it. she wanted him to notice her. she might be saving herself for marriage, but that didn't mean that she couldn't flirt or touch. innocent flirting was nothing big, it was when you took it in between the sheets where you got in trouble. she had heard his compliment several times.and she had even considered going into movie once before but modeling already took up most of her time, there was no way she'd have time for movies unless she was between jobs or something. maybe someday it would work out. but she really wasn't looking for it at the moment. she had her plate full. she had seen tyler again, her ex who had dumped her because his family thought she wasn't good enough for him. imagine that. which was why she was hear, to forget about it. not only to mention that she hadn't heard from him since their surprise meeting at the beach. maybe dakota here was the right kind of distraction.
genevive couldn't help but to think that his accent was cute. perhaps a southern gentleman? she'd never seen a true one before, all the guys she had met from the south just wanted to get her in bed. yeah, i model for a lot of different things, mainly victoria secret. she was sure that would grab his attention, it did most guys. she leaned against the bar, only too aware that the skirt of her dress was dangerously close to showing her ass. genevive wasn't a whore, but she knew her body looked good, so she flaunted it. what was the use if she didn't flaunt it while she still could. she sipped on her on water. she didn't look at dakota, only because she felt like it was his job to be looking at her. what do you do for a living? fellow model perhaps? or maybe a designer or writer? she maybe it seem like he was important, when in fact it could be that he was just a regular person who just happen to get lucky enough to get inside the exclusive club.

notes.let the fun begin Oh, how so many times he had been mistaken for a gentleman. Sure he was from the south were most men worshiped the ground that their girls walked on, though he had done that while he lived in the country states. But he wasn’t down there anymore so the rules changed with him. He played his own game, he liked control and he liked to win. Besides, once some innocent girl caught wind of his country boy twang, it was almost a sure win. Who wouldn’t want a cowboy attached to their hip? Plus, not to mention that all the horse back riding and field work gave the guy an advantage to liking it rough and having firm and steady calloused hands to work with. And Dakota had ridden plenty of horses in his time. Country men were easy love for a girl.
Genevine here had to at least be falling into that trap. And when she began to speak again, he flashed another white tooth grin. Victoria Secret, of course, he should expect nothing less then the best for her. But he had a feeling that she wanted his attention and to look ravishingly over her body. Not that he didn’t think that she was a looker, but he already knew every inch of her figure, and there would be plenty of time later for looking at her when they got back to his place and when she shredded that dress off. So he just swooped his cup over and took a sip, reluctantly turning so that he leaned his back against the rim of the bar and rested his elbows back on the counter, looking over the rest of the people in the club. “That’s a pruddy popular one as far as I hear it. The best one in my opinion.” He mused to himself and smirked. As if on cue, she returned the question to him. Kody wondered how he should come by telling her. She seemed to respond better with a little humor. “Me? Oh, I’m a Victoria Secret model, too, darlin’. Can’t ya tell?” His cool gaze slide over to her with a charming smile and he winked before laughing lightly and shaking his head and looking back over the party. “Nah, I’m just messing with ya, Goddess. I’m an author.”
Reaching up he pulled and the knot in his tie and loosened it so it hung off his white collar some. “I’ve written one novel, best seller might I add, and I’m here to get me some inspiration.” He set his water down on the counter next to him and just let his hands hang, but he turned and looked at her with a playful smirk teasing his lips. “And I must say, you are doing such a job of that for me.” She was actually the most stimulating thing that had happened to him since coming here. Again, not that the other ladies weren’t performing well in bed, but that they lacked quality.
His blue eyes returned to the crowds of people just chatting and getting close with each other, in more ways then one. Noticing a group of three ladies looking at him, scratch that, they were glaring, he was hit with light confusion. But he didn’t let the show on his expression so the brunette next to him wouldn’t notice them. Two of them were blonde and the other was a red head. He certainly thought that they looked amazing, but he was caught up with flirting with Genevine to do anything about them. Though, it snapped together in his brain. Those were three of his one night stands. He was screwed if they came over. But Kody just casually turned so that he was facing towards the bar and had his back to the glaring girls.

if i leave my heart with you tonight promise me that you're gonna treat it right. | genevive wasn't stupid. she could tell by looking at this guy that he was up to know good. the flattering, the excessive grins and flirty comments. he wanted something, perhaps something that involved being going back to his place. of course she knew that was what he wanted. but he wasn't going to get it. but she couldn't just shoot him down so soon into the conversation. it was just cruel. she wasn't really familiar with southern ways, all she had ever known before she became famous was tyler, and he was sweet enough. well until he broke her heart. even now she didn't know she could allow herself to trust him completely. things were completely different now then they were when she was here the last time. for starters, she was richer, famous, and had a career. nothing could make a girl happier, right? wrong. she got lonely sometimes out on the road. sure she could call or text or instant message anyone she wanted to, but it wasn't the same. having someone there to experience things with was so much better.
maybe that was why she went to parties and such. maybe to look for that someone. but from her past experiences, only guys who wanted to get laid hung out at these things. they wanted to take her back to there place, have their way with her and push her out the door when he got what he wanted. genevive was not that girl, though many people thought she was because of her profession. just because she was a model didn't mean that she slept with everyone. in fact, she hadn't slept with anyone. not even tyler and they had been together for over three years. which means, that if tyler didn't get any, this guy wasn't getting any either. she smiled at his compliment. again, it was welcomed. she always liked to feel wanted, just like everyone else, even if she knew he was just saying that to sleep with her.
she almost laughed when he said he was a victoria secret model. it was funny to imagine him in a bra and sexy underwear. she let him have his fun, knowing that it couldn't be his right profession, because unless they had a men's line she didn't know about, then she was talking to a female in disguise. he continued to tell her about his real profession, which made much better sense. you're in the club to gather inspiration? she looked at him, raising an eyebrow. what was it about? sex addiction? then, right on cue his next line said it all. she smiled at him, only to be polite. this was not going the way she wanted it to. why couldn't she find simple, sweet guys? oh maybe because they didn't exist in this way of life. she smiled. well i hope that i give you as much inspiration as you need. she flirted. he better enjoy it because that was all he was getting out of her for tonight.
she looked over at him, smiling. he was cute, so maybe she'd give him a shot to redeem himself. genevive watched him move back to lean against the bar, back facing the crowd. she finished her water, and slid the glass away from her. what kind of books do you write? she asked, curious. she'd have to remember his name so she could pick up his book when she went to the bookstore later in the week.

notes.let the fun begin In a club to get inspiration? Disgusting, what kind of creep would do that? He meant he was here, in Hawaii, to get inspiration. And besides, he was in the club to get some muse from chatting up pretty women that allowed him a flirt or two. Now, if later he got to charm her into his his bed then good, but when it came to his writing, he was a serious and professional man. The sleeping around was only his personal life, it never had much to do with his books. When she let him finish his statement and answered back, he grin, half seriously kind for her letting him just talk and get some creative ideas in mind, for his book, of course. But he felt like she was slightly hinting towards him using inspiration as a cover word. In that case the other half of his grin was smug.
But then she turned to him and asked him a question that he hadn't been asked by a women he was pursuing before. They usually didn't give a crap what his book was about. A short chuckle let him and he smiled genuinely for the first time tonight. "I'm no romance writer, so sorry if that disappoints ya." He took the last sip of water and pushed the cup toward the bartender. Looking over at Genevine, he started to explain. "I don't really know if my work has really gotta certain genre, but it's more or less about a young boy growing up in the country and trying to deal with changes that come from his secret laced life. Like, people's betrayal, love and the danger of how easy death is." When it came to explain anything about his book, he could turn charming some beautiful girl off in a second. It came first in his life, he was a serious writer, and women came next. "Ya see, he accidentally killed his brother and sister. while taking them trail riding. He never told anyone though." He stopped himself from saying more, he tended to go too far sometimes. "But if ya want to know the rest, you're gonna have to read it ya-self. It's called Life Behind the Lying Line." He was proud of his book, and was happy the it was brought out so well when published.
Clearing his throat, he laughed some. "But enough about my book, though I am currently trying to write another one." Dakota wanted to get back to what he had originally come over to her for. The music, more like it's heavy bass beat, drummed and he opened his mouth to say some smooth comment but clicking, high heel foot steps stopped him. He didn't want to turn around. Not that he was scared but because he knew who it was. "Kody? I haven't seen you since D.C. that one night. And Clare here was telling me that she hasn't seen you since New York. And Haylie mentioned Boston." He tensed his shoulders, her tone was one that was purposely threatening. His eyes flickered over to Genevine, oh, this was NOT going to be good.

if i leave my heart with you tonight promise me that you're gonna treat it right. | she watched him with curiosity. he was interesting to say the very least. a writer intrigued her. she had always thought about writing, but never really tried. apparently she had given him something he liked because he seemed super adamant about letting her know exactly what he did. she smiled when he said he wasn't a romance writer, which was perfectly fine with her. she listened, without interrupting. it interested her to see how he worked, maybe because his personal life didn't seem to reflect the devotion he seemed to have in his writing. letting him finish, she smiled at him. i'll be sure to grab a copy. she meant it too. she wasn't some girl that told someone she'd do something and not do it. plus the book did seem interesting, just like the man before her.
she figured when he said he was trying to get inspiration that he was indeed writing another book. she wondered what this one was about. genevive smiled at him. he didn't seem all that bad once he got to talking about this book. maybe in a little sweet. but maybe it was just the part of her that always tried to find the good in someone. she watched him, noticing he was about to say something, when someone else interrupted them. it was three girls, ones she had known from modeling with some time ago. she thought maybe they had recognized her and wanted to chat, but they were talking to dakota. as she watched at the girl talked about how he had been with all three of them, different cities. oh, so he was that kind of guy. she watched his reaction, but he was watching for hers. she stayed quiet, finding her cash and paying the bartender a tip since she hadn't drunk anything, that was all she had to do.
she wandered if it would be just best to slip away, letting them have their talk, because truly, genevive had heard enough. or should she stay and let him explain himself. she thought about this for a brief moment, then decided. she wasn't about to stick around with this. she had enough problems as it was. plus now that she truly knew his personality and the way he thought about woman, she'd pass. bye dakota. she said smiling softly, and walking towards the door, her high heels clicking on the floor. if she had stayed, she was sure to get an ear full and probably even be drug into it. and she couldn't have that bad publicity.

notes.let the fun begin Well this could have certainly ended better then it was going to. He ignored the three models behind him and kept his eyes on Genevine the whole time. She looked devastatingly less then impressed with his track record. But there were more then just these three girls in his past. And he knew the she could guess that, she was a girl with brains, like he had said before. He watched her place down some money for the bartender, who seemed to just snatch the bills up and moving away from the storm gathering around Dakota, he clearly didn’t want to be anywhere near them, and neither did Genevine. Her pause gave him hope but it was short lived. He clenched his teeth as she bid him farewell and walked away.
He be damned if she had just denied him. Spinning around he stood straight and stood right up in the blonde’s face that had talked. “See it this way asshole, we just saved her from the devil.” The words just bounced right off him as he squared his shoulder. He was quite intimidating when he wanted to be, and right now that was all he was thinking about. “Ya were always the biggest bitch, Charlotte. Mount a war against me with all my other flings, I don’t care, I will get Genevine.” A evil smug smirk crawled to his lips and he trailed the back of his hand long her cheek. “And if I remember correctly, ya know how determined I can get.” She visibly shrunk back a step with blush on her cheeks and he took it as his time to push through them and stride after the brunette who was nearing the door. Kicking up his pace and catch her in time, he placed a light grip around her elbow and pulled her back to him, swinging her around so that he blocked the route to the exit. “Goddess, wait.” He was a stubborn man who had never been brushed off by a girl, this was all something new for him and he wasn’t giving into defeat.
Dakota released her and pushed his hand through his hair before meeting her gaze. His blue eyes making contact with her brown ones. He had some adrenaline rushing through his veins now, he felt oddly alive and driving by his simple want for nighttime company. And the fact that she had walked away from him, the girl was gutsy, and strangely he found that attractive. “Look, darlin’, don’t listen to them, they are just ex-girlfriends that get jealous when I’m around women that are pruddier then they are.” Kody was new to a begging position, so he wasn’t sure how he was doing. “Genevine, it’s just ya and me here, everyone else is off grinding on the dance floor or buyying each other drinks. Us, let’s just go back to talkin’.” The man offered a strong grin, flashing his teeth again. The room around him still teamed with bodies and music, really, he still just wanted to take her out of the club. While still in it, the fear of the models ruining things again was present. But it seemed too early to invite her back to his place already. But maybe it was better; now or never really.

if i leave my heart with you tonight promise me that you're gonna treat it right. | the girls were highly pretty, just like all fellow models were. they were just a year or two older than her, but that didn't stop them from being prettier than her. she had been such an idiot. of course he treated girls like that, and everything he said, everything he done while talking to her pointed to that. she was just busy finding the good in the situation. too busy thinking that she finally found a guy that wasn't a creep tonight. in fact, he probably was the biggest one of all. she wasn't impressed by the how many girls he had been with. in fact, she found it disgusting.she had waited this long, twenty one years, she was still a virgin. was it too much to ask for a guy the same way? she didn't think so. she maybe have even let slip a couple, but not the whole female population, which it looked like dakota was doing. it was like he had a list of all the girls, and he was just crossing off names as he went along. well he wasn't going to cross her name off. there was no way she'd even go with him anywhere that wasn't public. and she wasn't mad at the girls, they had every right to be there, to say what they did. and genevive was actually glad that they did.
genevive could care less what he was was saying to the girls now. her destination was the door. she had had about enough for one night and felt a little woozy from all the drinks she had been sipping on. she'd probably have to make sure that the car was outside or be doomed to wait outside for it. and too many things could happen before then. like him trying to explain himself. she had always imagined something like this when she watched movies, but never dreamed that she'd actually be involved in it. just as she was pulling her phone out of her small clutch, a hand touched her elbow, pulling her back. she rolled her eyes she seen who that person was. let go of me and leave me alone. she said in the politest way she could muster up at the time. when he let go of her, she watched him as he did something with his hair. her eyes caught his and she couldn't tell if it was genuine or if it was just an act, but she found something redeeming. maybe an apology? panic? this was probably the first time a girl had the guts to turn him down. which was sad that girls fell for this all the time. what did that say about the female race? that they had low self-esteem and low standards.
she let him explain himself. she particularly didn't like the 'look' or the 'darlin' or the fact that his whole sentence was bullshit. yes, genevine cursed. did he just call her prettier than the other girls. she wanted to turn her head towards where she knew the girls were to see, but she didn't, her brown eyes were focused on this man in front of her, blocking the exit. her eyes wondered to the door, wondering if she could motion security without him noticing. but the way he said her name brought her eyes back to his. talking? she repeated. still unsure if that is truly what he wanted to do. because all evidence pointed to him trying to get her in bed. she didn't know if it was the alcohol or the fact that was curious on how he planned to seduce her, she contemplated letting him continue on with his night with her. of course she wouldn't do anything, but in order to figure out more about him, she'd have to give him the time of day. alright. but just talking. she agreed, looking at him sternly, hoping her got the picture not to try anything on her.

notes.let the fun begin He hadn’t really given her a real apology, in fact he didn’t even apologize to her, and he couldn’t see why he really needed one. The three other models had come over and interrupted them; it should be them who said any words of sorry. But no, they had called him and asshole and a devil, not that he was going to telling any of that to Genevine. He watched her, his eyes never leaving her for a second. He had tried the convincing part but the decision was hers, he defiantly wasn’t going to force her into anything. Dakota didn’t go around raping women, that was just disgusting. And down right offensive. He had more respect for the female race then that. He was a persuader not a force activist in these situations.
It counted as surprise when she agreed to just talking, it was strange because he was sure that she would have just pushed him away and leave. Wasn’t that what ladies did in movies, just ran away from some guy that hurt then and didn’t give second thoughts? Oh well, he was just glad that she was a kind enough girl to actually just try talking again. Blinking at her for a second he straightened his back and stood as his full height and smiled a brief thanks, though it was very faint. “Only talkin’… okay.” He placed one of his hands in his pocket and took a step toward her, urging her to step back so maybe they could lean up against a wall or something. And when she took steps, he would take another, guiding her back through the crowd without touching her. He had said only talking and that was what he was going to do. Or at least he was going to try and hold off on other things and just talk.
He wasn’t much of a common talker; he had to have sort of charm and flirting in there. Though charming and smooth talking and flirting where forms of talking, some maybe he could just talk. But for the sake of keeping her around longer, he would have to dial a few things down. “So, are ya from here or are ya just here for a photo shoot or vacation?” He had to ask her because it was a toss up again, she seemed sweet enough and like a warm weather girl to fit in here, but most models were from bigger cities. She didn’t need to ask him, as if it wasn’t obvious, he wasn’t from the little isles. An awaiting expression, mixed with a tad of innocent curiosity fell on his face and he tilted his head a few degrees to emphasis it.
Dakota’s mind was still mostly full of scheming ways he could get back to his place. The three models had set him back some, but it wasn’t too much he could make up. And he could play a good guy if that was what it took to get her, granted he didn’t like it. The idea about chasing after her was childish; he should have just let her wander away. But no, he was stubborn and had already locked on to her, and the night was still young, there was a chance. Did it make him sound cliché that he would do anything just to get her?

if i leave my heart with you tonight promise me that you're gonna treat it right. | she didn't even know why she had stopped. it really wasn't worth her time to give this guy a second chance. but maybe, who knew, he might be trying to change his ways. but by the way he was acting, he wasn't. in fact, he probably came over to her on one mission and that was to make her exactly like those girls over there. one night stands. she refused to be one. and would never be one as long as she could help it. sure she had thought about it. when she was feeling lonely or unwanted. having sex with someone was a sure fire way to make you feel loved or wanted. but afterwards was what she didn't want to deal with. the guilt and the shame that went along with someone using you for just the sex and then leaving you. still alone and unwanted. she still wasn't entirely convinced that he would try something on her, and she now had her guard up. she was all about giving people second chances to prove themselves, but that was it. if he did something she didn't like, she was gone. and he wouldn't ever get another chance. he should count himself lucky. plus she was sure that she couldn't drive like this. her head felt a little whoozy. but enough where her judgement was compromised. she figured it was the combination of alcohol and the drama that she had just and still was apart of.
her brown eyes watched him as he agreed. she wasn't entirely sure if she was going to be serious about the just talking part, but she nodded in agreement anyways. but when he stepped forward, it surprised her, and furry entered her eyes. was he trying to push her? but then she realized what he was doing. he was wanting her to get away from the door. genevive's brown eyes returned to their natural softness and she took a step back, then looked over her shoulder. she really didn't want to have to deal with those models. she thought for a moment as they walked through the crowd. once they were out of the way of the people, she looked back at him. um, i would really like to avoid blood shed if you don't mind. she didn't care where they went, just so the three girls wouldn't try to kill her or worse yet, label her what they were. whores.
she carefully listened to him ask her if she was from here. and she smiled. i am originally from new york, but moved here when i was eight. when i turned eighteen and was out of school, i became a model full time. i moved away. now i'm back, visiting. that was probably the least messy verison. she could have went on to tell him that she had this nasty break up that made her make up her mind to take the modeling job. that he dumped her because she wasn't good enough for his family, but seeing how this was the first time either of them had met, it would seem a little bit over the top. how about you? i know you're not from here. and you must be from the south, but where? she gave him a small smile. maybe they could get along, without having to deal with what happened only a few moments ago. but the exit was always in the back of genevive's mind. she wasn't going to let him use her like he had used those poor girls.

notes.let the fun begin Dakota silently agreed with her comment when they had stopped walking. He had no intentions of wanting the three models near then or to really get mad at any one. Though he was frustrated, he would admit. Mostly at the other girls, and partly at Genevine for just walking away from him but it was eased some when she allowed him a second chance.
As she explained where she had lived and why she was here now, he watched her. The brunette didn’t have the attitude like any New Yorker he knew. Most times they were tough and loud and not as opened minded or nice. They tended to have a plan and they liked to follow it without interruptions. It was clear that that didn’t fit Genevine, or at least the side of her that he was seeing wasn’t like that. Then again, she was only eight when she left the Big Apple. But there was a new fact; she hadn’t gone to college. That didn’t waiverhis opinion on her being smart though. Scanning her with his gaze, he shrugged in his mind, she seemed to be doing quite well in the modeling world and didn’t look like she could handle much else on her plate. As she finished, he was left to wonder who she was visiting. Most likely it was family, but there could possibly be a boyfriend or lover that happened to be here too. Not that he hadn’t flirted with another man’s girl before.
It pained him, not physically, that he was going to have to play all good boy just to hang around her. But maybe, if she was worth it, which she certain was, he could stick it out for awhile. Granted pursuing a girl for weeks or even months was new to him, it was good to try everything once though wasn’t it. He brought his focus to her question. “Lawton.” Kody smiled some at the memory. “I am originally from Lawton, Oklahoma But my family moved around bunches between there and Texas. So I got use to all the back and forth. When I was fifteen we permanently stayed in Texas, ya see, my dad thought it would be a good experience to get a small farm.” And man was it really small. After all it was just him and parents how lived on it. In fact he never even wanted to help around but he ended up doing most of the work. “For me, I still like feeling of hopping from place to place, so that’s just what I do now.” But of course she already knew that much from the three girls that had introduced themselves by what cities had been with them in. It wasn’t one of his proudest moments when that happened. It was more that he had a half of an accent, or at least it wasn’t a thick real one. He had just picked it up in when he was little and they went around to all the outskirts of towns to. He liked that though, he was light and didn’t take over his whole voice, so you could still understand him.
He paused for a second. “I bet ya family was happy to see ya. And yar boyfriend.” He was curious, and more actually wanted to know if he was involved with anyone else. But now it just made him question how his parents were. Dakota was sure that they were still in Texas but he hadn’t been keeping tabs on them since he left college.
